My Final Research Paper Game Plan.
During the next two weeks I need to work on creating a powerful and cohesive conclusion. Also another aspect of my paper I must fix is my Works Cited page. My paper would be a lot stronger with those corrections. I will take time this week to make these changes, I have an extremely busy schedule due to school and work.

Close Reading of Film Stills in "A Beautiful Mind" .
The film still where John was hugging his old college
roomate reveals that he in fact was sick. He saw, interacted and touch people
who were not real. I noticed that in the film still they were standing outside
of Harvard. I got a chance to examine the setting and the little girl.
The film still where John was laying on the floor reveals that the character is sick and in denial. The message of the film was that John was down, literally. He was going through a rough time in his life. I noticed that the psychiatrist is walking away from John while he’s on the floor whereas I didn’t pay it any mind watching the film. I could use this film still to discuss John becoming sick throughout the movie. The difference is that I get to fully look at the setting and emotions displayed in the still whereas the movie just flowing by. This exercise helped me look at these scenes through a different light.

Hollywood Films
Are Hollywood Films Realistic? No, but they have realistic factors in them. Hollywood Films are the short versions to every story, certain parts within them hold truth whereas some of it is false. We can learn many things from Hollywood films but they are not accurate or realistic.

Blog Assignment #1
The topic for this
research paper is the portrayal of human minds in film. My main focus for this
paper is the movie A Beautiful Mind and exactly how Schizophrenia is presented
in the movie. My thesis statement is: Based on several popular and
scholarly sources, I will argue that the portrayal of schizophrenia in "A
Beautiful Mind" is inaccurate as it distorts some of the symptoms, treatments
and outcomes of the actual illness in the interest of creating an uplifting
Hollywood story.
My first article used was The Man behind a Beautiful Mind by: Nasar, Sylvia, It is a journalistic view of John Nash's real life not how it was displayed in A Beautiful Mind. I found the source on Ebsco Host database. This article is relevant to my paper because it proves how inaccurate the movie A Beautiful Mind is in portraying schizophrenia and John Nash's life. This article fit good with my paper as it set out to reach all the points my paper will such as proving the movie "A Beautiful Mind" to indeed not be a realistic reflection of the illness schizophrenia and John Nash's actual life.
My next article used is A Beautiful Mind[film] by: Anthony David. It is another journalistic view of the movie. I found the source on the academic database Jstor. Both articles in some way proved that the movie "A Beautiful Mind" displayed John Nash to live in a fictional world. Understanding that details had to change in order to make the film worth watching yet stating how it distorted many aspects of Nash’s life and the illness he was diagnosed with.

MY RESEACH TOPIC
The research topic I chose was Portraying Human Minds in Film. I choose this topic because it seemed really interesting to see how illnesses are presented in movies and also saying that I have an older cousin who was diagnosed with schizophrenia . My main focus for this paper is the 2001 film A Beautiful Mind. After reading the summary of the film, I thought this would be a good film to use due to the main character having paranoid schizophrenia just as my cousin. It's a topic I can relate to.

Welcome Post !
Hi Class,
My name is Ania Bell. I'm 18 years old. This may sound funny but I actually chose to go into the Criminal Justice field because I really love the TV show Law & Order: SVU. I'm not sure what kind of career I will make out of this major but I do know that I'm studying the right field. I plan to graduate next Spring and further my education at John Jay College. I work at American Eagle Outfitters and my hobbies are playing handball and writing poetry. I do not like to read or write Research papers. The kind of films I'm interested in are mainly comedies, and real action packed films. I'm kind of on the fence when it comes to being optimist about technology. I do believe it's a great thing and it helps us but I also feel that with technology advancing the way it is their will be no jobs for mankind such as automated phone services, online shopping and online paying bills. I honestly think that most young people are optimistic when it comes to technology. IPhones, Androids and online search engines has made the sky the limit when it comes to information. But for people such as my grandparents tend to see the worst when it come to this topic.
